Skills and Requirements

The Electronic Product Engineer will work to support the organization, under the direction of the Senior Manager, Production and must be able to perform in a responsible manner the techniques and tasks that are assigned.  Requirements include:
a B.S.E.E. degree or equivalent
5 years’ experience from similar position.
Good communication, and coaching skills.
HW/SW development experience, preferably with products for mass production.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing and assembly is required for understanding the assembly process and identification of improvement opportunities in production.
Good understanding of a broad general knowledge within electronics (especially within embedded and wireless electronics).
Strong technical skills and the ability to read engineering drawings and schematics are necessary. 
Must be goal oriented with a high degree of enthusiasm.
 The ideal candidate will be team oriented, self-motivated, able to prioritize tasks or projects independently, and forward thinking. 
Must be familiar with various systems as well as internet based administrator programs.
Must be familiar with equipment for standard business operations such as MS Word, Outlook, Excel programs and personal computer operation. 
Must uphold the LINAK values as an employee of LINAK U.S. Inc.

Education Requirements

Scope
The Electronic Product Engineer is considered Global Product Responsible for products proprietary to LINAK U.S. and works closely with Global Product Responsible for maintaining design intent of global products while also working with the local Production team to ensure that design intent marries with production intent.  This must be accomplished within the framework of the organization’s overall corporate policies, plans, and programs.  
Supervisory Responsibilities:  No
Reports to: Senior Manager, Production
Major Responsibilities (covering both Global and Local Product Responsibility):
Development / maintenance of existing products, including
Cost Optimization
Quality Improvements
Development of specialty products based on existing products
Error analysis and test
Support for Quality, purchasing, sales, development
LINAK Product development usually cover:MCU design hardware and software (C++)
Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE)
SMPS
Power/FET electronics for DC-motor control 
General digital and analog Electronics
CAD design (PADS)
Keep up to date with market innovations
visit exhibitions and fairs
collection of options available on the market, components etc.
Design for Manufacturing and Assembly
Participate in P-FMEA, Risk Management files and perform D-FMEA
Participate in audits at suppliers
Participate in milestone projects
Ensure that products comply with applicable regulatory requirements
Assist in Supplier Development and Selection
Responsible for documentation:
Subcontractors
Access control
ECO-flows
Risk Management Requirements
Responsible for coordination of design intent through supply chain
Involved in Technical supply chain approvals through the LINAK PPAP process
Involved, when necessary, with supply chain problems regarding design intent
Responsible for executing endurance testing per GP082
Project management through proper LINAK project management process
Other focus areas, including
Continuous Improvement (Quality Improvement Reviews, Corrective Action Meetings)
Test Development (Test Strategy)
Error Analysis at Production Stop
All other duties as assigned by management
